Gluten Free Nacho Cheese Sauce


Hey everyone. I have been eating this cheese sauce everyday for the past week because it is so delicious! It is super easy to make and it is good for parties or for lunch!


1 Tablespoon of butter

2 ½ Tablespoons of Gluten Free flour

¾ cup of milk

¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper

½ Tablespoon taco seasoning (Optional, but it adds some flavor)

1 cup of sharp cheddar shredded cheese (Do not use pre shredded cheese! Buy a block and shred it yourself. It has so much more flavor and melts easier.)


  1. Melt the butter and flour together until it turns into a roux*
  2. Add the milk, cayenne pepper, and taco seasoning and whisk together
  3. Once it is all mixed together add the cheese and mix until it is all incorporated
  4. Serve in a bowl with some chips or over veggies

*A Roux is a mixture used as a thickening agent created by cooking flour and butter together.
