Gluten-free Yellow Chicken Curry and Rice


In a family with six kids it is hard to find something everyone will eat. We all love moms chicken curry or as my little brother calls it “yellow chicken”.


  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 Tbsp curry powder
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • 1 tsp onion powder or 2 Tbsp diced onion
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 7 chicken breast cooked in chicken broth, shredded
  • Raisins and peas (optional)



In a large pan melt the butter, garlic and onion. Then add the curry powder and stir until a paste consistency.

 Slowly add in the milk and cream. Once it is slightly boiling add in the shredded chicken and combine it all.

 Add salt to taste and serve over rice. Top with raisins and peas.
