Gluten-free Mozzarella Sticks

Ingredients:

  • 8 cheese sticks cut in half (I like Sargento brand and Kraft)
  • 1 cup gluten-free bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup gluten-free flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp milk
  •  Tomato sauce for dipping

Directions:

Place cheese sticks on a baking sheet and place in freezer for 30 minutes. This will help them not to melt flat in the oven. Whisk egg and milk in a bowl and set a side. Mix together the bread crumbs, salt, basil, and oregano in a separate bowl. Dip the mozzarella sticks in the flour, then the egg, and then the bread crumbs. Place them back on the sheet. Bake for 10-15 minutes at 350º.  Serve with a bowl of tomato sauce.
